Thomas fell and hit his head, so his parents brought him to the emergency room. Explain how the following scans would give doctors different information about the type of injury Thomas may have.
What defense mechanism do you usually use? Why do you think this is the case?

The MRI would allow doctors to see his brain while the CT scar would let them see his bones. The fMRI would determine if any blood flow has been compromised after the blow to the head.

The CT would show if there was anything wrong with the skull itself. The MRI would show if there was anything wrong with the brain. Finally the fMRI would show if there was anything wrong with the blood flow to the brain.

By using the Ct scan, you would be able to take a look at his head for anything wrong with his skull. The MRI would allow the doctors to check his brain for possible injury or tear. The fMRI would allow them to check the blood flow in his head for anything blocks

A CT scan would help the doctors be able to tell if he had broken a bone after he fell, as CT scans create cross-sectional images to show the bones and tissue in the body. An MRI would allow the doctors to determine if Thomas had a concussion or another abnormality in his brain after he hit his head. The doctors could also use an FMRI to determine whether or not there is an issue with the blood flow in Thomas' brain.

The CT scan could determine if there were any fractures in his skull or damage. The MRI would determine if there is any brain damage from the impact, such as a concussion. A functional MRI would determine if enough blood is going to the brain.
