Language makes humans different from other animals because we have a more complex language and different languages across the world. We have developed our language over time as our species has developed. We can still communicate with other animals. Only using other forms of communication, sometimes sound or other senses. Our language makes us unique, as does other animals' languages.

Language has given humans a way to transcribe just about anything, whether it be literal or figurative. Language allows for precise articulation of wants and desires, and is key in communicating with others in pursuit of a common goal. Language was most likely developed through its ability to expand and change as time goes on. For example, early humans were most likely only able to articulate via grunts/other guttural noises, but as civilization and society evolved, newer sounds were needed to express more recent developments. As language evolved, it was refined into a form that allowed for universal communication and writing.

Language makes humans different from other animals because we have a much higher level of intricate communication. We can use any combination of sounds to recognize anything while animals can only use one sound, some none at all, for different emotions. Our language has many different variations and can be written down unlike animals' languages as well. I think we developed language because our ancestors needed a way to identify different objects and communicate that with other people. They put together certain sounds and associated them with certain objects, emotions, etc. and that is where our language came from.
